ICnova SAMA5D36 SODIMM - high performance CORTEX-A5 SODIMM-200 module

ICnova SAMA5D36 SODIMM


The device ICnova SAMA5D36 SODIMM is equipped with an Atmel ARM CORTEX MPU. It operates with an ARM CORTEX-A5 core at 536 MHz CPU clock.


Features:

  • Atmel ARM Cortex-A5 processor with up to 536 MHz CPU clock
  • up to 512MB DDR2-RAM
  • 8MB NOR-Flash
  • up to 2GB NAND-Flash
  • two integrated 10/100 MBit Ethernet PHY's
  • voltage regulators for 3.3V, 1.8V and 1.2V core voltage
  • all peripherals are accessible on connectors
  • easy to use SODIMM-200 module (1.8V-Version)
  • tempearture range from -40°C to +85°C


Suitable application development boards

Software

All Modules provided by In-Circuit usally have a Buildroot based system preinstalled, so they can be used out of the box.
Login as "root" for which no password is set.

If you are new to kernel building please refer to First Steps with Buildroot.

The Board support packages listed in table above contain all sources required to build the linux image for the different combinations with the ICnova SAMA5D36 SODIMM.
If an older version of the BSP is needed please look at our Downloads section.

Generally the bootloaders on our modules are configured to loook for a bootable linux image on the SD-Card and only boot from flash if none is found.

On the ICnova SAMA5D36 SODIMM the bootloader u-boot is preinstalled on the on-board flash.
