ICPROX Setup Tool (USB)

The ICPROX Setup Tool reaches an ICPROX-CPU over a plain USB cable, straight from the browser. It shows and changes the same settings as the Wi-Fi web interface. The USB connection is independent of radio conditions and therefore suits environments with heavy Wi-Fi occupancy, devices that switch to mobile data on their own, and vehicles outside Wi-Fi range.

What you need​

  • Chrome or Edge — the tool uses Web Serial, which Firefox and Safari do not provide
  • A USB cable to the control unit
  • An ICPROX-KEY in range, for changes (see below)

No installation is required: the tool consists of a single HTML file and runs entirely in the browser. No data is transmitted to any server.

What it can do​

  • Show and change the vehicle settings — the same ones as in the web interface
  • Show the live status: detected tags, connections, inputs and relays
  • Upload and install firmware for the devices on the vehicle
  • Read out which devices are connected and which versions they run

Changes need the KEY​

Read access is available at any time. Changing a setting requires an ICPROX-KEY in range — the same condition applies over Wi-Fi; the USB connection does not bypass the release. The key symbol at the top right shows the current state; if the key is missing, the tool reports this before the write is attempted.

Getting started​

  1. Open the tool in Chrome or Edge.
  2. Connect the control unit to the computer with a USB cable.
  3. Press Connect and pick the serial port offered.
  4. Power the ICPROX-KEY and bring it near the vehicle if you intend to change anything.
  5. Work through the tabs; every change is confirmed on screen.

Troubleshooting​
