ICTRAC is a real time locating system based on UWB technology.
UWB (Ultrawideband), is a short-range radio technology, using extremely large frequency-ranges with a bandwidth of at least 500MHz. In order to not disturb occupied frequency bands, UWB works with low transmission power. The frequency range of UWB is between 3.1 and 10.6 GHz. Thanks to its robustness against interferences, and its high data rates, UWB is particularly suitable for precise positioning tasks in an industrial environment.
